What is an air taxi?

A passenger-carrying aircraft intended for short, on-demand trips. Many emerging air taxis are electric powered-lift aircraft designed to take off and land vertically.

An aircraft using electric propulsion to take off and land vertically. Some use wing-borne flight for efficient cruise after transitioning from hover.
